Banana Colada Smoothie

This smoothie is a refreshing tropical treat.

1 cup ice cubes
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
1 small ripe banana, sliced
3 tablespoons SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1/2 cup reduced-fat coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in a blender in the order listed; process mixture until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides.

Makes 2 servings.

Banana Berry Smoothie


Plain nonfat yogurt helps to boost the protein in this fruit-flavored easy to make drink. Combine it with a hearty fiber-filled muffin for a great breakfast "to go".

2 cups plain nonfat yogurt
1 medium size ripe banana, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup Equal® Spoonful*
2 cups frozen unsweetened whole strawberries
1 cup frozen unsweetened red raspberries
  1. Combine yogurt, banana, Equal® and lemon juice in blender or food processor; cover. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add half of frozen fruit. Blend until smooth. Repeat with remaining frozen fruit.
  3. Serve immediately in tall glasses.
Makes 4 servings.
* May substitute 12 packets Equal sweetener

Apple Shake

This smooth, delicate shake is a great way to cool off during the hot, hot days of late summer.

1 apple - peeled, cored, and chopped
1 1/2 cups fat-free milk
3 cups vanilla no-sugar-added, fat-free ice cream
2 tablespoons SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated

Place the apple, milk, ice cream, and SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener in a blender, and blend until smooth. Serve cold!

This cinnamon spiced apple refresher is great on a crisp autumn day.

1 packet SPLENDA® Flavors for Coffee, Cinnamon Spice
2/3 cup sparkling apple cider
1 tablespoon grapefruit juice
1 cup ice, as desired

Pour all ingredients into a tall serving glass. Stir well. Add ice, if desired. Serve immediately.

1 (32-ounce) carton NESTLÉ NESQUIK Ready-to-Drink Chocolate Milk
3 cups prepared eggnog
Ground nutmeg for sprinkling
  1. Combine Nesquik and eggnog in large pitcher or bowl; refrigerate. Pour into glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Makes 10 servings.

Festive Green Tea Eggnog

Spice up a holiday get-together with Michelle's first place winning Festive Green Tea Eggnog recipe. The Culinary Institute of America's Holiday Recipe Contest awarded Michelle's twist on a holiday classic beverage grand prize out of almost 250 entries.

1/2 gallon eggnog
1 quart milk
1 (16-ounce) bottle Green Tea & Honey Flavor NESTEA® Sweetened Iced Tea Concentrate
1 pint whipping cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Combine eggnog, milk and Nestea in large punch bowl. Stir until well combined.
  2. Beat whipping cream in large mixer bowl until soft peaks form. Beat in sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Stir into eggnog mixture. Mix just until whipped cream is nicely disbursed and frothy looking. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Makes 24 servings.

Pomegranates are only in season September to February, but the flavor can be enjoyed year-round!

2 cups Ocean Spray® Cran·Pomegranate™ Cranberry Pomegranate Juice Drink
1 cup frozen unsweetened red raspberries
1 cup strawberry sorbet
  1. Combine cranberry pomegranate juice drink and raspberries in large blender. Blend on high speed for 15 seconds or until smooth and slushy. Add sorbet. Blend on medium speed for 5 seconds or until mixed.
Makes 2 serving
