Coffee with Chocolate and Honey

Coffee with Chocolate and Honey 
4 cups milk
3/4 cup milk chocolate morsels
2 tablespoons NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO Pure Instant Coffee Granules
1 tablespoon honey
Sweetened whipped cream
  1. Heat milk, morsels, coffee granules and honey in medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until morsels are melted and mixture reaches a gentle boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Pour evenly into 5 mugs. Top with a dollop of whipped cream; serve immediately.
Makes 5 servings.

Bavarian Mint Coffee Mix

1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1/4 cup instant coffee powder
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1-ounce peppermint candy, crushed
  1. Combine sugar, non-dairy creamer, coffee powder, cocoa powder and peppermint candy in an airtight container; mix well and store in a dry place.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
For each serving, combine 2 tablespoons of the mixture with 1/2 cup boiling water; mix well.

Makes 8 servings.

1 1/2 cups milk
1 tablespoon NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO Pure Instant Coffee Granules
2 cups chocolate ice cream
1/4 cup chocolate morsels
  1. Place milk, coffee granules, chocolate ice cream and chocolate morsels in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Cafe Mocha Mudslide
1 cup Café Mocha NESTLÉ CARNATION COFFEE-MATE® Liquid Coffee Creamer
4 teaspoons French Roast NESCAFÉ® Gourmet Instant Coffee
2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 cups ice cubes
  1. Place Coffee-mate and Nescafé in blender; cover. Blend until coffee is dissolved. Add frozen yogurt and ice; blend until smooth.

5 envelopes NESTLÉ ABUELITA Instant Chocolate Drink Mix
3 cups ice cubes
2 cups milk
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  1. Place Abuelita, ice, milk and chocolate morsels in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Abuelita Champurrado

Abuelita Champurrado
1 1/2 cups hot water
1/2 to 1/3 cup masa flour
3 cups milk
1 to 1 1/2 tablets (90 g each) NESTLÉ ABUELITA Chocolate
  1. Place hot water and masa flour in large saucepan; mix until smooth. Add milk and Abuelita chocolate. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 3 minutes or until thickened to desired consistency. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.

Suggestions: Anise and/or cloves can also be added to mixture if desired and then removed before serving. The mixture can be strained through a fine sieve before serving if a smoother Champurrado is desired.

Snow-Capped Cinnamon Hot Cocoa
4 cups 2% milk
1 cup NESTLÉ NESQUIK Chocolate Flavor Syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup sweetened whipped cream
1 tablespoon NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels
  1. Combine milk and Nesquik in medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot (do not boil).
  2. Remove from heat; stir in cinnamon.
  3. Pour into 4 large mugs. Top with whipped cream and morsels.

Hot Peppermint Mocha Shots
1 vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup Peppermint Mocha Flavor NESTLÉ COFFEE-MATE Liquid Coffee Creamer *
3 ounces NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® CHOCOLATIER 53% Cacao Dark Chocolate Baking Bar
Whipped cream (optional)
  1. Cut vanilla bean in half lengthwise. Using back of knife, scrape along inside of vanilla bean to collect seeds.
  2. Heat water to boiling in small, heavy-duty saucepan. Add seeds from vanilla bean or vanilla extract; heat for 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium. Add Coffee-mate and chocolate; whisk until smooth, slightly thickened and hot.
  3. Divide mixture between 6 small coffee cups or tall shot glasses; top with dollop of whipped cream. Serve immediately.

2/3 cup NESTLÉ ABUELITA Chocolate Syrup with Cinnamon Flavor
4 cups ice cubes
1 1/2 cups milk
1 small banana
  1. Place Abuelita syrup, ice, milk and banana in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately

Cherry Eggnog

1 (10-ounce) jar maraschino cherries with stems
3 large eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup half-and-half (or fat-free half-and-half)
1/2 cup rum (optional)
Ground nutmeg
  1. Drain cherries, reserving juice; set aside. Mix eggs, sugar and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan. Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often, or until heated through. Remove from heat. Stir in reserved cherry juice and vanilla.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Just before serving, stir in half-and-half and rum. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately. Garnish each serving with a stemmed cherry.
  4. Makes about 12 servings, 1/2 cup each.

Holiday Peppermint Cocoa

Holiday Peppermint Cocoa

A nice ending to a cold winter day. From BHG. I replace the sugar with Splenda and the milk with skim milk for a lighter treat.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan stir together sugar and cocoa powder.
  2. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
  3. Heat over medium heat until warm.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and peppermint extract.
  5. Pour into mugs and top with mini-marshmallows if you like!

Blueberry Eggnog

2 fresh eggs (See Food Safety)
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
2 tablespoons honey
  1. Place all ingredients into the container of electric blender and blend on high until smooth. Serve immediately.

Chai Tea Mix

1/2 cup powdered creamer
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 cup granulated sugar
15 teaspoons instant black tea (or pekoe)
  1. Combine all ingredients together and store in a tightly sealed container.

Makes about 15 servings.

To Make a Cup of Chai Tea

1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon Chai Tea Creamer Mix
1 cup boiling water
1 1/2 teaspoons honey (optional)
  1. Combine the Chai Tea Mix with the boiling water and honey, if using; allow to steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

Makes 1 serving.

Cook's Note: The Chai Tea mixture will dissolve much better when vigorously stirred into hot water.

Apricot Tea Punch

1 (46-ounce) bottle Apricot KERNS® from LIBBY'S Refrigerated All Nectar
2 cups strong NESTEA® Unsweetened Instant 100% Tea, freshly prepared
2 cups ginger ale, chilled
  1. Combine nectar, Nestea and ginger ale in punch bowl; add ice.

Chai Tea

14 cardamom pods
4 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cups milk
3 (3-inch) sticks of cinnamon, broken into pieces
6 whole cloves
2 tablespoons black tea leaves
Granulated sugar to sweeten as desired
  1. Using the flat side of large knife, crush cardamom pods to expose seeds.
  2. In saucepan, bring water, milk, cardamom pods, cinnamon and cloves to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add tea leaves and remove from heat; cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain and serve hot. Sweeten with sugar as desired.

Makes 6 servings.

Festive Hot Tea Punch

6 cups water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup NESTEA® Unsweetened Instant 100% Tea
8 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 1/2 cups Punch Flavor LIBBY'S® JUICY JUICE® 100% Juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  1. Combine water, sugar, Nestea, cloves and cinnamon sticks in large saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally. Boil for 2 to 4 minutes. Remove whole spices, if desired. Stir in Juicy Juice and lemon juice. Serve hot.
